PURO was opened in June 2017 by Dom & Alex Lamy; between them the couple have more than 25 years experience in hospitality, with Dom having worked in the industry since he was 16. Following an initial refurbishment (and name change) the couple have continued to put their own stamp on the restaurant, turning it into the modern, comfortable, stylish venue they are proud to call Puro.

“We felt there was a gap in the market in this area for a bistro style bar/restaurant serving modern British food. We wanted to bring something fresh and sophisticated yet relaxed to Clevedon. Puro offers a full range of drinking and dining options, from a quick beer at the bar, to a catch up with friends over cocktails and nibbles, all the way up to providing the perfect venue for a special occasion dinner.”

“We are aware that for many people eating or drinking out is a luxury, so we feel it is our responsibility to provide our customers with the best food, drink and service possible. Outside of the restaurant, Dom and Alex also own two other venues in Clevedon, Vintage & vine and escala tapas, and have a busy family life looking after their 2 sons, Jack and Leo.
